nathan and emily// one year

all photos were beautifully captured by the talented Eric B. Lee and Christina Hastings
all of the reception design was planned by the bride and sister of the groom

Just one year ago, Nathan and Emily tied the knot!
A few months before the wedding, Emily and I met in a small town between Austin and Houston for a speed wedding planning session! She's a precious friend and we worked with caffeinated ease as we sorted through most of the details and fine print of the wedding. It was a wonderful time, once that special day in October rolled around, I drove over to Austin to coordinate her and Nathan's wedding.
Such a beautiful and happy day!

bruce and maria// one year

all photos were beautifully captured by the talented mark elkins

I can hardly believe that it's been an entire year since I flew out to the beautiful coast of North Carolina for Bruce and Maria's wedding! It was such a perfect day for a wedding; the weather was cool enough for a light sweater while the breeze made way for a beautiful day. It was such an immense pleasure to work on their wedding and help to make the day effortless. I mean, when you start off the day with a yummy mimosa and quiche, how can it not be wonderful?! Set in the backyard of the bride, the ceremony and reception were sweet, intimate times; live music filled the crisp air and the evening ended with starlit dancing and a firework send off! An exciting time and a wonderful way for two people to start life together.

I loved every minute of it and would gladly go back for another North Carolina wedding gig!

The bride beautifully wore her grandmother's wedding gown, which was also worn by the bride's mother.

well, hullo again!

// this is my edible niece, who is affectionately known as Eva Bear, The Bean, or The Grimlin.

Ah, it's so nice to be blogging again.
While I've really grown to enjoy sharing thoughts and ideas over the space of a blog, I was getting burned out. Quite dreadfully. Life and things that happen in life made it difficult for blogging to be very high on the list of priorities; however, praise God (!!!), the.... however long hiatus was just what I needed.
After all that I decided that I still enjoy sharing thoughts and ideas on this space (and that I find Blogger to be easier to navigate than Wordpress. I tried!).

In this space, I would like to dedicate a collection of ponderings.
Ponderings on Blooming Where You're Planted (otherwise known as LIFE), and the things God makes beautiful in His time;
 and also on weddings, and all of the Joys, Sweat! Lessons, Late Nights!! and Sweetness that comes with them.

So follow along for the journey, I'm looking forward to sharing it with you.
